Site work for a water / sewer project in Swampscott, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Development and Assessment of Flood Risks in the Fishermans Beach Neighborhood The contract awarded pursuant to this Invitation for Bids (IFB) shall be for a period not to exceed 180 days. Question Deadline 12/16/2024 at 4:00 PM ET Questions concerning the terms of this IFB, must be submitted in writing by mail, fax or e-mail to: the Procurement Officer Scope of Work: 1. Task 1: Coastal Vulnerability Update: Critical public assets were previously inventoried, scored for risk based on criticality and probability of flooding, and prioritized as part of the 2016 Coastal Climate Change Study. At the outset of this task, the asset inventory and criticality scores will be reviewed with the Town and updated to reflect relevant changes. Criticality scoring will be updated to factor in importance to priority/EJ populations. Previous probability data from BH-FRM will be replaced by MC-FRM projections (with the 2050 time horizon added), and asset risk scores will be recalculated. The results will be used later to inform the prioritization and phasing of implementation actions. Based on the flood model results, the Towns current understanding of vulnerability to flooding will be updated. Specifically, this involves inventorying the specific public assets (buildings, seawalls, roadways, beach access ways, emergency distribution locations, etc.), and essential services to priority/EJ populations that are vulnerable to flooding. The specific assets that are vulnerable to coastal flooding will be ranked in accordance with the risk involved in flooding. The ranking will consider the anticipated technical challenges, construction feasibility, permitting, regulatory support, the assets criticality to the Towns operation, damage to public facilities, public safety, and impacts to priority/EJ populations.
