As of July 21, 2025, an engineer has been selected, and this project is in the design phase. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Swampscott Senior Center seeks proposals from qualified engineering firms to redesign a portion of the Senior Centers HVAC system. The existing rooftop condensing unit has partially failed and the Town intends to replace the unit. The existing unit provides Cooling only, but the Town would like to explore the potential of having the replacement unit also operate as a Heat Pump. It is anticipated that the existing interior coil will need to be replaced and modifications will need to be made to the existing interior HVAC equipment
