Structured Cabling Projects Spring Lake Public Schools, hereby known as "District", will accept sealed responses ("Bids") to this Request for Proposals (RFP) for Structured Cabling projects . The general description of the Scope of Work (SOW) for this project is to provide the District with STP Data and Audiovisual Media Structured Cabling at one (1) school building. Location- Spring Lake High School 16140 148th Avenue Spring Lake MI 49456 FY2025 E-Rate FORM 470 - 250007521 Direct any and all questions regarding this RFP by email to: David Miller, at: david@stagedirectionconsulting.com and Brent Gustafson, at: bgustafson@springlakeschools.org. The resulting answers, along with the questions shall be posted on the SLPS and USAC website. The Bidder shall submit a five percent (5%) Bid Bond, of the total base Bid price, made payable to Spring Lake Public Schools, with the sealed Bid. Any Bids received without a Bid Bond will be rejected by the District.. The resulting answers, along with the questions shall be posted on the SLPS and USAC website. All Bidders must complete and submit all major addendum questions by December 20, 2024. The District's Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all Bids in whole, or in part, and accept any Bid or portion of the Bid that, in their opinion, best serves the interests of the District. The selected vendor/contractor and their subcontractors are required not to discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment, to be employed in the performance of the Bid, with respect to hire, tenure, terms, conditions or privileges of employment, because of race, color, religion, national origin, or ancestry or also because of age or sex, except based on a legitimate occupational qualification. Violation of this requirement may be regarded as a material breach of the Michigan Fair Employment Practices Act and may be subject to prosecution. The District reserves the right of cancellation for non-performance of the terms specified in the awarded contract. All data and audio drops will use existing metal raceway and/or conduit when possible. When existing raceway and/or conduit is used, existing wiring must be completely removed and properly disposed. New raceway and/or conduit must be installed when existing metal raceway and/or conduits are unusable. New surface mount boxes, raceway and/or conduit in view of the public must be painted to coordinate with mounting surfaces. Data and audio cabling above acoustic tiling must be properly secured with J Hooks. Provide and install needed Cat6 STP and other shielded low voltage audio wiring to locations outlined in the building maps (Appendix F). All Cat6 STP cabling shall be terminated in the sound booth in existing rack location. Audio speaker wiring should be 12AWG cable that supports minimum 100' distance without signal loss. Audio microphone and line-level wiring should be shielded 22-24AWG cable. Selected vendor will use Neutrik connectors for all house and stage terminations. Selected vendor will provide appropriate black metal wall plates to support the required Neutrik connections. Neutrik NE8FDV-B (or equivalent) for Category 6 STP data connections Neutrik NBB75DFIB-P for BNC connections Neutrik NL4MP-ST for speaker connections Neutrik NC3FD-LX-B for XLR connectors appropriately labeled with unique identifiers for the AVL network ports.
