The work to be performed under this contract generally consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, accessories, and labor for performing all operations necessary to install approximately 126 linear feet (LF) of 6-inch C900 PVC water lines, 164 linear feet (LF) of 8-inch C900 PVC water lines and 1,771 linear feet (LF) of 12-inch C900 PVC water lines by abandoning existing 12-inch, 8-inch and 6-inch CA water lines. The project also includes related appurtenances, removal and replacement of 2 fire hydrant assemblies, connections to existing facilities, abandonment of existing facilities, reconnecting services, asphalt removal & replacement, concrete removal & replacement, erosion control and site restoration to a condition equal to or better than the existing condition at the start of construction The Bidder to whom a contract is awarded will be required to furnish "Performance and Maintenance" and "Labor and Material Payment" bonds to the District. The "Performance and Maintenance" and "Labor and Material Payment" bonds shall be furnished in the amount of 100 percent of the contract, in conformity with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or to accept that proposal which in its sole and absolute judgment will under all circumstances best serve the District's interest. No proposal will be accepted from any firm, person, or corporation, who is a defaulter as to surety or otherwise, or is deemed incompetent, irresponsible, or unreliable by the District Board of Directors.
