The City of Davis (City) invites qualified individuals and companies to submit proposals to provide Housing Quality Standards (HQS) inspection services for Affordable Housing Units participating in the City of Davis' Affordable Housing Program. Proposals from self-employed individuals, including semi-retired home inspectors who can be trained to conduct HQS inspections on-call, are welcome. The selected contractor will conduct approximately 200-240 annual inspections, including re-inspections and special inspections, for properties owned and managed by individuals and corporations with some tax credit Section 8 Housing Choice voucher clients and units. HQS inspections must adhere to the guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
