The City of Davis is requesting proposals from qualified firms to perform janitorial services for various city facilities. The municipal offices of the City are located at the Civic Center Complex in Central Davis, and at various satellite buildings throughout town, including two corporation yards for operations staff and equipment. In addition, the city runs public activity centers (the Veteran's Memorial Center, and Senior Center) used for community events and rental activities, as well as buildings that are leased for public activities in addition to regular city operations. Questions about this RFP are required to be submitted to Alexis Eastwood by March 10, 2025. Questions submitted after the due date or via phone will not be accepted. All substantive questions and answers are published below (in PDF) and will be distributed to applicants. Contractors interested in submitting a proposal for this should respond to this RFP with a written proposal providing all the information requested. The proposal will be considered complete only if all of the items listed under the Proposal Requirements are included. Term of Contract The term of the agreement shall be for a period from the effective start date specified in the City's Notice to Proceed, and shall be fully completed within the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, or such additional time as may have been provided by change order, pursuant to the contract documents. The City shall have the option to renew said agreement for two (2) additional two-year terms upon the same terms and conditions as provided in this agreement. No price changes are permitted during the Fiscal Year 2025-2026. To extend the contract beyond the initial period, a mutual written agreement is required sixty (60) days prior to expiration of the initial term. If the contract extends beyond Fiscal Year 2025-2026, prices quoted may be made subject to adjustment not to exceed 5% increase annually. At the end of the second additional two-year term, the Agreement shall automatically terminate.
