Renovation of a residential development in Brasher Falls, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Bids will be received for the following Contract: Contract No. 1 - General Rehabilitation - Base Bid 1144 SH 11 C Brasher Falls NY 13613 Scope of Work Items - Furnish and Install various rehabilitation materials and labor to include: New smoke & carbon monoxide detectors per Code, New Metal Roof, Attic Insulation, Ceiling Drywall, Bathroom 1- Full Renovation including Lights & Receptacles, Bathroom 2 Replace Lights & Receptacles, Replace Front Ramp with new ADA Ramp & Replace Rear Steps, Flooring - Install Laminate Flooring in Dining & Living Room. The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to lead certifications. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids. Bid Solicitations and Contract Documents are provided by the Development Authority of the North Country as part of the Authority's due diligence in its role as the NYS CDBG Sub Recipient for St. Lawrence County. St, Lawrence County is the recipient of the New York State CDBG Grant funding. The Development Authority staff, will review all bids submitted for completeness. The Development Authority will make recommendation to the homeowner on the lowest responsible bidder. The Rehabilitation Contract will be between the Homeowner and the Contractor. MWBEs and Section 3 contractors are encouraged to apply. The contractor will ensure that to the greatest extent feasible opportunities for training and employment arising in connection with this NYS CDBG-assisted project will be extended to lower-income project area residents. Further, the contractor will, to the greatest extent feasible, utilize business concerns located in or substantially owned by residents of the project area, in the award of contracts and purchase of services and supplies. Painting shall Include at a minimum, 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of paint. Paint and primer shall be manufactured by Valspar or approved equal. If work is performed in a bathroom or kitchen, the paint shall be approved for the particular location. Interior paint shall indicate "interior latex" and Exterior paint shall Indicate "exterior latex". Colors and finish (gloss shall be chosen from "standard colors" by owner. B.) Plumbing materials- Sanitary sewer drains shall be of Schedule 40 PVC or match existing. Traps and appurtenances may be of thin-walled PVC or equal. Waterlines and fittings shall be of type "K" copper, PVC and /or Pex C.) Any items removed as part of the project shall become property of the Contractor and shall be hauled off-site unless tagged by owner for re-use
