Renovation of an educational facility in Morgantown, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
West Virginia University (WVU or University) is initiating this Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit Proposals from qualified firms or individuals (Proposers) for the following: To replace the existing porch, restore the portico, repair existing balustrades and columns, repair gutters, address storm water issues, and add accessibility for the Purinton House at 1505 University Avenue, Morgantown, WV. The Purinton House is located in the center of WVUs Morgantown Campus and listed on the National Historic Registry. Liquidated Damages shall be Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion and Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Final Completion. WVU anticipates the Supplier will reach Substantial Completion in approximately four (4) months after issuance of the Notice To Proceed and approximately two (2) additional weeks to obtain Final Completion Question Deadline 01/14/2025 at 12:00 PM ET Questions MUST be submitted directly on the solicitation website on the Q&A Board . Addenda will be posted on the Q&A Board; while the system should generate an automatic email. Anticipated Contract Start Date February 2025 The University reserves the right at its sole discretion to reject any and all Proposals received without penalty and not to issue a contract as a result of this RFP.
