General work description: Work consists of replacing existing timber crossties on an active track as shown in the Contract Documents. The work includes, but is not limited to: remove and dispose of old timber crossties; provide and install ballast; tamp, line and surface track; provide and install timber crossties using existing tie plates; install new Contractor-furnished spikes and rail anchors; and all associated site work required to complete the work. Project Duration Completion by no later than 270 calendar days after the date of the NTP for the Base Bid, an additional 30 days for each of Additive Alternates 1-4 and an additional 60 days if Additive Alternate 5 is awarded to the Contractor.
