The Town of Mountain Village (TMV) is now accepting proposals for TMV Entrance Project. SCOPE OF WORK: Provide two proposals for landscaping design of an enhanced entrance to the Town of Mountain Village. The two proposals should be differentiated in scale of approach with a smaller scale re- design and a full-scale redesign of the entrance. New designs to include a re-imagined array of flower and tree arrangements, stonework and Town of Mountain Village sign. Design should provide a sense of welcome, arrival and vibrancy that persists throughout all seasons. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The new landscape design will need to incorporate aspen trees and other trees/flowers that thrive in an environment at 9500 foot elevation. Plantings should be proposed that have a mature look and spacing as opposed to saplings in clusters. Lighting should be chosen that meets Dark Sky specifications while providing adequate light to illuminate the entrance and signage. Design must integrate with the existing traffic pattern and not obstruct sight lines leaving or entering the Town. Current roadway infrastructure is not contemplated as part of the re- design. Materials proposed should match existing design criteria of the Town of Mountain Village. The proposal will need to be approved by the Town of Mountain Village Design & Review Board before installation and may be altered based on DRB and Town officials' feedback. The Town acknowledges that the process of review and final edits of the awarded proposal may push project construction to the summer of 2026. A mandatory, pre-bid site walk will be required to view the entrance to be re-designed, ask questions, and make any necessary measurements and field verifications. (See proposed deadline section below for dates and times). Any questions that arise after the site walk will be answered and shared with the group at least one week prior to proposal deadline. Materials and plantings should also be specified SECTION II: QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Qualified candidates should be able to show a history of landscape architecture and design projects and experience in either collaborating with professional landscape and construction companies to execute plans at a high level or execute the full scope of work in-house. 1. List past projects similar in nature. 2. Provide pictures and design mock-ups. 3. Provide resumes and qualifications of key personnel and subcontractors. 4. Provide proof of required insurance. 5. Provide references from the past complete projects with completion dates, company contact person, and telephone number.
