Replacement of eleven (11) pool pumps and a portion of Piping within the mechanical room at the Family Aquatics Center located at 25125 Fairmount Blvd. Four (4) of the pumps were ordered by the city on January 6, 2026, and are on site ready to be installed. The remaining seven (7) pumps will need to be ordered by the contractor. The contractor shall then install all eleven (11) replacement pumps and the section of piping. The intended that the contractor orders the pumps immediately after the awarding of this contract. Demolition and site prep can begin after the close of the pool for the season. All work, except start up services, must be completed by May 1st, 2027. The pool needs to be opened by Memorial Day Weekend. Be accompanied by a certified or cashiers' check on a solvent bank made payable to the order of the City of Beachwood in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, or by a bid bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, drawn in favor of the Clerk of Council of the City of Beachwood. The bid check or bid bond, as the case may be, will be held as a guarantee that, if the bid proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into between the bidder and the City of Beachwood, and if not, the amount represented thereby, shall be forfeited to the City of Beachwood as liquidated damages.
