Project Description The area of the proposed sewer improvement project is located along Campus Road (south of Cedar Road) continuing south along S Green Road and along portions of Greenlawn Avenue and Beachwood Boulevard. Based upon proposed improvements to the sewer system at the time of this report we are anticipating the use of both open-cut trench and trenchless method of sewer installation will be used during the construction process. In addition to the borings performed for this project we’ve also include the analysis of the subsurface conditions from two (2) of the borings performed for a nearby sewer project, Glenhill Area Sewer. From the five borings performed as part of this project we have include the subsurface conditions encountered at the locations of B1 and B-5, the intersection of Beachwood Blvd. and Greenlawn Ave. and the intersection of S. Green Rd., and Beachwood Blvd. respectively. A review of Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) available data indicated that there are no known gas wells, surficial karst formations or historical mine activity that took place at the project site. ODNR water well data indicates water wells outside of the project area to the north and south. These wells encountered shale bedrock at a depth of 10 feet to the north and a depth of 30 feet to the south. The static groundwater encountered in the wells to the north suggest water at the soil to bedrock interface.
