As of July 22, 2025, an awarded general contractor has been identified. Construction has commenced. All trades have been awarded. This project consists of the installation of a new 750,000-gallon water tower located at the Frenchtown Township Hall site. The project includes installation of 649 linear feet of 16" water main and 118 linear feet of 8" water main to connect the proposed water tower from to the existing 8" water main, the construction of a paved access drive, installation of electrical conduits, controls for the tower, and the installation of 318 linear feet of 10' x 1' fence with a swing gate. Water main will be installed using open cut installation as noted in the Plans and Special Provisions. The Substantial Completion Date of December 31, 2025 is based on the ability to order water tower materials with sufficient time for installation. The Township will coordinate and negotiate with the contractor based on schedule delays due to issues with material procurement. The Engineers Estimate of Probable Cost for this project is between $3,100,000 and $4,300,000. Question Deadline 01/08/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to the Engineer. Interpretation or clarification considered necessary by the Engineer to such questions will be issued by Addenda, e-mailed all parties recorded by the Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening the bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda are binding.
