The Project will be awarded as a single overall contract in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-18. Contract SOC - 1 Single Overall Contract Commencing on Friday, December 20, 2024, bid documents for this project will be available for review only between the hours of 9:00 a.m. & 4:00 p.m. on business days at the offices of LAN Associates, Engineering, Planning, Architecture, Surveying, Inc. (LAN), 445 Godwin Avenue, Midland Park, NJ 07432. Bid documents shall be available via an email link. All technical questions, comments, and inquiries should be directed to LAN (Attention: Mr. Alex Li, PE) at Telephone #201-447-6400 or Email: alex.li@lanassociates.com. Prospective Bidders may contact LAN at Telephone #201-447-6400 for additional information on the Pre-Bid Meeting. It is recommended that all Bidders attend the Pre-Bid Meeting and familiarize themselves with the Project Site(s) prior to submitting a bid. The failure of the Bidder to visit the Site(s) is at Bidder's own risk. The last day for submission of questions shall be Friday, January 3, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. All Addenda will be issued no later than Monday, January 6, 2025. Bids may be mailed to the attention of Mr. Thomas Lambe, Business Administrator/Board Secretary, at the Board of Education office address listed above; however, no bid will be considered, regardless of the postmark, unless it is actually received in the Business Administrator's office prior to the time set for the opening of the bids. Bids may also be delivered in person to the Business Administrator between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on official business days. All bids must be duly time stamped, in the office of the Business Administrator, not later than the "Bid Opening Date and Time" as stated below. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26, in order to submit a Bid for the Project, Bidders shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction in C032 (HVACR). Bidders on this project must also identify and include a subcontractor classified in C047 (Electrical) if the bidder is not classified to perform such work. Additional subcontractors, if any, shall be in accordance with the project specifications. In addition, the bidder, or bidder's subcontractors, must comply with the identification and classification requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-18, to the extent the services of a prime trade-classified contractor or subcontractor are required on the project, per the specification. Project Milestone Dates: Last Day for Contractor Questions: Friday, January 3, 2025, at 5:00 PM Last Day for Addenda: Monday, January 6, 2025, at 5:00 PM Anticipated Substantial Completion: Friday, August 15, 2025 Additional milestone dates per the Contract Documents. The Mahwah Board of Education reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof in accordance with law, to waive any non-material informality in the bids, and to award the bid to a responsible and responsive bidder. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days from the date set for the opening of the bids, as set forth above.
