The work to be performed under this contract includes the milling and resurfacing, curb, sidewalk and driveway replacement, ADA curb ramp upgrades, installation of curb pieces and bicycle safe grates, drainage improvements and other incidentals on various roads within the Township as outlined in the Contract Documents. ALTERNATE BID A - Mahwah Board of Education: The work to be performed includes the milling and resurfacing, spot curb, sidewalk and driveway replacement, installation of curb pieces and bicycle safe grates, drainage improvements and other incidentals at Lenape Meadows School and Ramapo Ridge Middle School. The work associated with the Mahwah Board of Education (Alt. Bid A) is not to begin prior to June 25, 2025 and must be completed prior to August 29, 2025. Bid documents and specifications are available for no charge commencing February 19, 2025 and will be on file for public inspection at the office of the Business Administrator, at the above address, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays. Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid and, not to exceed $20,000.00. Such checks and Bonds shall be made payable to the Owner and will be held as a Guarantee that in the event the Bid is accepted and a Contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract shall be duly executed and its performance properly secured. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver to the Owner a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of the Contract. All bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days. The Township reserves the right to reject bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2, N.J.A.C. 7:22-9.10 or other applicable law, to waive minor informalities or non-material exceptions in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder, as per N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-1, et seq.
