Proposals must be submitted on forms provided for by the Architect and placed in a sealed envelope bearing the name of the bidder, and clearly marked, "MAHWAH PUBLIC LIBRARY, PARTIAL ROOF REPLACEMENT, Bid No. MPLB # 02-24 ENCLOSED-DO NOT OPEN" in the lower-left corner, or they will not be considered. Proposals shall be mailed or delivered to: Darlene Mercadante, QPA Mahwah Public Library 100 Ridge Road Mahwah, NJ 07430 The Mahwah Public Library assumes no responsibility for bids returned by mail. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, but not in excess of twenty thousand ($20,000) dollars, and made payable to the Mahwah Public Library. Bidders shall be properly licensed under the laws and regulations governing their respective trades and be able to provide Insurance and Bonds required for the work. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Labor and Material Payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the total contract amount. The Mahwah Public Library reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any minor informalities or irregularities in the Proposal received and to accept the bid which is in the best interest of the Library. Unless otherwise permitted by law, no bids may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after the bid opening date. LATE BIDS - All bids received after the deadline date and time stated above will not be considered and will be returned to the bidder unopened. The bidder assumes the risk of any delay in the mail or in the handling of the mail by Owner's employees or volunteers.
