SCOPE: Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) is seeking competitive bids for granite/natural stone countertops on KDWP properties. Install custom granite/natural stone countertops with sinks as needed in KDWP facilities. Some sites will be remodels, and potentially some new construction. On sites with a remodel the staff will do the tear out of existing countertops and plumbing, then replumb after the new countertop and sinks are installed. Cabins that are to be remodeled are rented to the public. The work schedule will need to be such that the cabin will be closed to renters for no more than 14 days for installation. How to bid: Price labor and materials separate. (Materials included countertop material and sinks). Materials will be priced as a percentage over market price at the time of order. Labor charges at contractor’s hourly rate. Lowest percentage over market price for materials and hourly labor will win the bid. Contractor will need to be licensed and bonded with the State of Kansas. All work will be warrantied for a minimum of 2 years from completion date. Every job will be custom, so the cost is job dependent on material costs (market prices) and the size of the project.
