New Playground Equipment at Federal Hill Green New playground equipment at Riordan Playground, at Federal Hill Green in Bristol CT, Funding for this project is provided by the State of Connecticut under its Local Capital Improvement Program ("LOCIP" funding). The Contractor who is selected to perform this State project must comply with Connecticut General Statute Secs. 4a-60, 4a-60a, 4a-60g., and 46a-68b through 46a-68f, inclusive, as amended by June 2015 Special Session Public Act 15-5. The main unit to have a total height of 18'9" and fit within an area footprint approximately 21' by 21'. The variety of climbing, sliding, and swaying shall provide training of cross-body coordination and balance. The play shells and hammock offer meeting spots for social interaction, areas of observation, and a place of respite. The two-sided play panel shall encourage learning of sign language and braille. Contrabass chimes are required to complete the layout.
