Renovation of a fire / police facility in Bristol, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
**As of March 24, 2025, this project has not ye been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Removal and replacement of type 1 exhaust hood at Fire Headquarter, located at 181 North Main Street, Bristol, CT 06010. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities in any submission, to reject any and/or all submissions, and to accept the proposals) that in its judgment is in its best interest. Installation of Type 1 Exhaust Hood at Fire Headquarters, located at 181 North Main Street, Bristol CT, as noted below. There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting at the project site on February 12, 2025 at 10:00 am. Remove Type 2 exhaust hood within the kitchen area of Fire Headquarters, and replace with Type 1 grease hood as shown in attended drawing SK-M1. Bidders are advised that the original kitchen design accommodate Type 2 hood (i.e. existing RTU is capable of providing required make-up air for the kitchen); modifications needed are limited to the hood, exhaust, and associated suppression system. Please note that grease ducts shall include duct cleanouts and shall be constructed of welded black iron. Contractor is responsible for selective demolition, removal and disposal of existing hood system, including refitting of roof curb for new exhaust fan.
