Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the bidders base bid amount, in the form of a Bid Bond made payable to the City of Bristol. The requirements for prevailing wage rates are to apply to the resultant contract award. The awarded contractor will be required to secure a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract award, provided by a surety licensed to do business in the State of Connecticut. Work orders will be issued during the course of the agreement; said work orders may be issued any time through December 31, 2025, with all work assigned under such work orders completed within 30 days of assignment. Work not completed by the contract end date will not be completed by the contractor under this contract, and such work assignment will be considered rescinded. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bid, to reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in its judgment is in its best interest.
