Site work for a stadium in Sandy, Utah. Completed plans call for site work for a stadium.
The Canyons School District (CSD) will receive bids from qualified contractors for the Jordan High School Football Field Lighting project. Bidders shall submit a base bid for the work described in the bidding documents. A contract will be awarded for work based on bid amount and qualifications. After the bid date, no bid shall be modified, withdrawn, or cancelled for 60 days. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids. Work shall consist of retrofitting the existing sports lighting system with new LED lights and crossarms at two football fields. Work shall be a turnkey solution. Project Addresses: Jordan HS 95 Beetdigger Blvd Sandy, UT 84070 Provide all material, labor, equipment, tools, supervision, and other items as required to complete the electrical work complete per the contract documents. Contract specifically includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Install new LED sports lighting on existing poles to provide a complete and functional system. 2. Unloading of Lighting Equipment: The contractor is responsible for unloading the lighting equipment at time of delivery and placing materials and equipment in a secure environment. Lighting equipment must be placed in containers or in a secure area until installed. Protection and safe keeping of the lighting equipment is the contractor's responsibility until the lighting equipment is mounted on poles. Handle material in accordance with manufacturer's instructions carefully avoiding damage to components and finish. 3. Reuse underground wiring. 4. Site access to pole locations shall be the responsibility of the owner. 5. Protect track during installation. Provide 3/4 inch plywood where needed. 6. Demo existing lighting system including fixtures, crossarms, wire harness, control cabinets, platform / man baskets. 7. Protect / preserve existing underground branch circuits for reuse. 8. Install new fixtures, crossarms, wire harness, remote electronic control cabinets with drivers, and control and monitoring cabinets. Install all equipment in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, specifications, and approved submittals. 9. Dumpster, if needed, to be provided by contractor. 10. Restoration for damage caused by trucks and equipment shall be the responsibility of the contractor. 11. Locates for underground public utilities shall be the responsibility of the contractor. Private locates shall be the responsibility of the owner. 12. Applicable permits shall be the responsibility of the contractor. 13. The contractor is responsible for notifying the owner if any unidentified obstructions or problems occur during the installation process. 14. Provide new typed panel schedules for electrical panels and lighting control cabinet. 15. Install new outdoor rated main control cabinet. o Jordan HS: Install on a unistrut rack. Locate under the press box on ground level directly east of the existing large junction boxes. Verify clearances to ensure there is room to walk between the building and control cabinet. Utilize the existing large junction box that feeds the light poles to reroute the existing wires going up to the electrical panel into the new control cabinet on the load side of the contactors. Liquid tight conduit shall be used and installed in a neat / orderly fashion. 16. Install new raceway / wire from the line side of the new control cabinet. o Jordan HS: Run up to the existing electrical panel located in the press box. Utilize existing breakers. No splicing will be allowed in the existing junction box. Liquid tight conduit shall be used and installed in a neat / orderly fashion. 17. Install a dedicated 120V 20A circuit from the existing electrical panel to the control cabinet for control power. 18. Furnish and install all conduit wiring from the control cabinet to the press box to control the RGBW fixtures and the light show entertainment feature. 19. Commission lighting system and provide light level scans and reports to owner. 20. Upon completion of the work the contractor shall clean and remove from the site of the work surplus and discarded materials, temporary structures, and debris of every kind. The contractor shall leave the site of work in a neat and orderly condition equal to that which originally existed including any site restoration. Surplus and waste materials removed from the site of the work shall be disposed of at locations satisfactory to the owner. Fixture lenses shall be cleaned from dirt and dust. Materials must be disposed of legally including proof for lamps and ballasts. Question Deadline 01/17/2025 at 8:00 PM MT
