The City of Janesville, Wisconsin hereby gives notice that it will receive electronic bids for the following listed Public Work:Fisher Creek Trail Phase 2 (Stewardship) - For furnishing all the labor, materials, equipment, and executing all work necessary for the construction of the following approximate quantities: 16 STA of clearing and grubbing; 1,700 CY of unclassified excavation; 2,500 CY of borrow; 4,300 TONS of aggregate base; 660 TONS of asphalt paving; 176 LF of concrete culvert pipe; 80 LF of curb and gutter; 312 SF of concrete sidewalk; a rectangular rapid flashing beacon; 8,000 SY of restoration; 45 SF of signs; 404 LF of epoxy pavement markings; 205 LF of sawing and miscellaneous construction items The Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check equal to 10 percent of the bid or a bid bond in equal amount, payable to the City as guaranty that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and performance bond within ten days from the date the lowest responsible bidder's bid is accepted. In case the bidder fails to execute such contract and performance bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. If applicable, Federal Davis Bacon wage rates are included in the Contract Documents, as well as on file in the City Clerk's Office. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 45 days after the actual date of the bid opening.
