The City of Riverside seeks the services of a qualified consultant to provide construction observation and testing for the Vivion Rd Trail project as follows: o Placement of reinforcing steel. o Placement of geotextile fabric. o Placement of Type 2 rock and retaining wall backfill. o Placement and removal of Temporary Shoring o Concrete testing to include air, slump, strength, etc. (The consultant will make at least one strength test for each 100 cubic yards, or fraction thereof, of each mix design of concrete placed in any 1 day. When the total quantity of concrete with a given mix design is less than 50 cubic yards, the strength tests may be waived by the consultant's project manager if, in his/her judgment, adequate evidence of satisfactory strength has been demonstrated for the same kind of concrete supplied by the same concrete plant to the same project). A) It is anticipated that construction will be from approximately February 2025 - June 2025. B) Upon project completion, a final list of acceptance testers and certification from the testing agency will be required (See Exhibit E). Submission shall confirm ability to complete this task. The City of Riverside reserves the right to modify deadlines, change the scope of work, amend the Request for Qualifications, reject any or all submissions for any reason without incurring cost or liability, negotiate with any consultant, and select the consultant that best meets the City's needs. The City of Riverside hereby notifies all responders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit qualifications in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry or national origin in consideration for an award.
