Site work, paving and new construction of a laboratory facility in Kulpmont, Pennsylvania. Design plans call for the construction of a 300,000-square-foot laboratory facility.
Plans call to construct approximately 300,000 joint laboratory complex that will provide state-of-the-art research and analysis facilities to four Commonwealth agencies and transform the grounds of the former Harrisburg State Hospital property. Plans for the more than 30-acre property include the development of a joint lab facility to be shared by the Departments of Health, Agriculture, Environmental Protection, and Conservation and Natural Resources. As of January 7, 2025, the site preparation work is anticipated to begin Fall 2025, with completion date of early 2029. Information regarding construction manager and general contractor has not been identified.
