The Work to be performed for the project includes supplying all labor, equipment, and materials for the replacement and relocation of an exposed sanitary sewer line due to erosion of the Spring Creek stream bank. The existing line will be abandoned in place, approximately 429 linear feet of 15-inch PVC sewer pipe will be installed, and two existing manholes will be replaced with precast concrete manholes. Temporary construction measures will include the installation of a rock construction entrance, wetlands matting, and other erosion and sedimentation controls to minimize environmental impact during the work. Additional alternate work may include trench reinforcement between the pipe and Spring Creek for stability. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be scheduled at a later date. Bidders assume responsibility that their Bid is received prior to the designated bid opening time and date. Each Proposal for the Project shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form provided by the Contract Documents, drawn to the order of the Robesonia Municipal Authority, and in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the extended Bid Amount, as a guarantee that if the Proposal is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and the performance thereby properly secured. The Robesonia Municipal Authority, Owner, hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, to waive any informality in bids received, and to accept the Bid, which is in the best interest of the Authority, consistent with the laws affecting municipal contract awards. Question Deadline 1/31/2025 at 4:00 PM ET Online Portal Proposed Work Sequence is as follows: 1. Mobilization and site preparation to include clearing and grubbing of the site, E&S Controls, trenching, and installation of wetlands matting (see Attachment A - General Permit). 2. Set-up bypass pumping around the section of piping to be abandoned within the Creek. 3. Cut and cap the existing sanitary sewer pipe in the Creek utilizing flowable fill and remove two (2) existing manholes. 4. Install two (2) new, precast concrete manholes to replace the existing manholes, including manhole encapsulation system installation. 5. Install new 15" diameter PVC Sanitary Sewer line and new precast manhole within the trench. Alternate - installation of trench reinforcement between the pipe and the Creek. 6. Remove bypass pumping controls and make new sewer line active. 7. Site restoration and final cleanup.
