The City of Stanton ("City") is requesting proposals from qualified professional contractors to provide janitorial services for five (5) City facilities. The Contractor contract is anticipated to be awarded at a June City Council meeting. The City reserves the right to waive any irregularity in any proposal, or to reject any proposal that does not comply with this RFP. The city alone, using the criteria determined by the city, will select the qualified candidate. The successful Contractor will be required to enter into an agreement with the city, which will include the requirements of this RFP, as well as other requirements to be specified at a later date. By submitting a proposal, the Contractor agrees to all of the terms of this RFP. Scope: The City of Stanton is seeking qualified contractors with a minimum of five (5) years of experience providing custodial services similar to those requested in this Scope of Work. The qualified contractor selected will furnish all Labor and Equipment to provide custodial services at Stanton City Hall / Community Center, Corporate Yard, the Family Resource Center, Central Park, and Harry Dotson Park. The Contractor is to provide all services as outlined below to the City of Stanton. Services required work shall include, but are not necessarily limited to, those items noted below. Best industry practices and/or best management practices may require additional services not explicitly enumerated. The Contractor shall provide all necessary machines, equipment, tools and labor, etc., as may be necessary to perform the work outlined herein. The Contractor shall deposit all trash in the refuse containers designated by the Public Works Director or his designee. Scope of Work: See Appendix A - Contract Scope of Services Documentation / Records: The Contractor shall provide the City with a detailed schedule which shall include the day and time each facility is serviced. Also, the contractor shall provide the City with a log that certifies the restrooms have been serviced at each facility. The City will periodically inspect all work performed by the Contractor per the log provided. The Public Works Director or his/her designee can request joint inspection with Contractor at their choosing. The initial term for the Agreement shall be for three (3) years, with two (2) optional 1-year extensions at the sole discretion of the City. The janitorial services listed on the Scope of Work shall begin July 1, 2025, and therefore, the Contractor's submitted proposal shall be valid till the start of services. Submission Requirement: Proposals and all other information and documents submitted in response to this RFP are subject to the California Public Records Act, which generally mandates the disclosure of documents in the possession of the City upon the request of any person, unless the content of the document falls within a specific exemption category. Three (3) copies of the Services Proposal and one (1) copy of the Fee Proposal must be submitted containing the following elements: o Proposers must submit three (3) bound copies of their proposal to the City for review. o 8-1/2" x 11" sheet sizes should be used for the text, with 11" x 17" sheet sizes for any fold-out drawings. o The proposal shall be limited to twenty (20) double-sided pages. Resumes for proposed personnel, tabs, and cover/back pages will not be counted towards the page limit. o Proposals should be as concise as possible and specific to this project. LETTER OF TRANSMITTAL A Letter of Transmittal shall be addressed to Han Sol Yoo, P.E., Civil Engineer, and, at a minimum, must contain the following information: o Identification of the contractor. Identification shall include legal name of company, corporate address, telephone number and e-mail address of the contact person identified during the period of proposal evaluation. o A statement representing that the contractor has thoroughly examined and become familiar with the work required in this Request for Proposal (RFP) and that it is capable of performing quality work to achieve the objectives of the City of Stanton, Public Works Department. o Acknowledgment of receipt of all addenda, if any. o A statement to the effect that the proposal shall remain valid in accordance to the start of services, July 1, 2025. o Signature of the official authorized to bind contractor to the terms of the proposal. o Signed statement attesting that all information submitted with the proposal is true and correct. o Complete and submit the "Proposal Acknowledgement Form" as presented in APPENDIX C.
