Work of this Contract comprises of the remediation of the Rural Municipality of Montcalm - Manitoba EMO Site #277. The overall work will consist of the following: Remediate the slope movements and erosional damage along a ditch by regrading the ditch and placing rockfill riprap. Remove existing culvert. Construct a new field access including installation of a new culvert. Widen an existing field access including extension of existing culvert. Site location: intersection of Road 15N (Goertzen Road) and St. Mary's Road in the RM of Montcalm. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond and an Agreement to Bond, issued by a Surety Company licensed to conduct business in Canada, and acceptable to the Owner. The Bid Bond shall be in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of total bid price. The Bid Bond shall be valid for a period of not less than sixty (60) days from the date of tender. A performance bond of a company registered to conduct the business of a surety in Manitoba, in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Price A labour and materials bond of a company registered to conduct the business of a surety in Manitoba, in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Price. Commercial general insurance liability insurance, in the amount of at least five million dollars ($5,000,000.00) inclusive, with the Owner added as an additional insured, with a cross-liability clause, such liability policy to also contain contractual liability, unlicensed motor vehicle liability, non-owned automobile liability, broad form property damage cover and products and completed operations, to remain in place at all times during the performance of the Work and throughout the warranty period. Automobile liability insurance for owned automobiles used for or in connection with the Work in the amount of at least two million dollars ($2,000,000.00) at all times during the performance of the Work and until the date of Total Performance.
