District has elected to become subject to the alternative bidding procedures set forth in the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act ("CUPCCAA"), Public Contract Code section 22000 et seq., with respect to public projects, as that term is defined in Public Contract Code section 22002(c). This Project is subject to CUPCCAA's formal bidding procedures per Public Contract Code section 22032(c). Accordingly, notice is being given in accordance with the provisions of Public Contract Code section 22037. Further, the contract will be awarded and/or the bids rejected in accordance with CUPCCAA. Each bid shall be accompanied by a 10% bid bond, based on base bid amount, and other required contract documents as specified in the bid document. Each bidder shall possess at the time of bid opening the following valid and active California Contractors licenses: Class BGeneral Building Contractor and C-61- Limited Specialty / D34- Prefabricated Equipment Contractor's license, pursuant to Public Contract Code 3300. The successful bidder must maintain the licenses throughout the duration of this contract and its renewals, if any. Lack of valid licenses will result in disqualification and termination. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids. The District shall award to the lowest bidder and act as the sole judge as to the merit and qualifications of the services offered. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive irregularities in any bid. Any bid received in the Business Support Services Department after this date and time shall be deemed non-responsive and returned to the proposer unopened.
