Work under this contract entails providing all required manpower, tools, equipment, temporary heat and ancillary materials including belt splicing compounds and equipment, and belting repair compounds including cleaning solvents, adhesives, bonding agent, and repair strips to replace, to vulcanize, and to repair belting on an as-needed basis. Belt widths vary from 24-inch to 126-inch and lengths vary from approximately 18 feet to approximately 1,700 feet. Further information concerning this procurement is provided in the RFB for such services. The Authority will not be responsible for RFB documents obtained from other sources. No Bid will be accepted after the above referenced date and time. Any Bid received after the due date, whether by mail or otherwise, will be returned unopened. Each Bidder must submit with its Bid, Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond executed by the Principal and Surety Company Attorney in Fact and witnessed to and attested with an appropriate Power of Attorney attached, or a cashier's check, or treasurer's check or certified check or money order made payable to the order of the Treasurer, Middlesex County Utilities Authority and in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid price, not to exceed $20,000.00. The contract bond(s) for this RFB include the following and must be from a Surety Company acceptable to the Authority and satisfying the requirements of the RFB: - Performance and Payment Bond - General Maintenance Bond Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes with the name "MCUA: CONTRACT 24-12-1(CTP)/ MEADOWLIFE(R) CONVEYOR BELT MAINTENANCE" clearly marked on the outside of the envelope.
