On-Call Hazardous Material Removal and Asbestos Abatement Service The City is seeking Contractors to perform Hazardous Material Removal and Asbestos Abatement Services on an on-call basis at various City locations. MGL Chapter 149 requires that the Contractor be certified by the MA Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work: Asbestos Removal. The City intends to award a one-year contract to up to three (3) vendors that are the lowest responsible and eligible bidder(s). The estimated value of each contract is Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000.00) per year. The City will retain Two (2) one-year renewal options to be exercised at its sole discretion. All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than January 24, 2025 (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com). The City of Springfield goal of twenty percent (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer or designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
