Renovation of a multi-residential development in Springfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Project consists of replacement of existing combination boiler/domestic hot water systems with new including combination boiler/domestic water heaters, pumps, expansion tanks, zone controllers, and accessories. Replacement of existing venting and combustion air piping thru the sidewall. Reworking of the existing natural gas piping infrastructure. Tenant apartment zone control replacement. Overall project electrical support to disconnect and reconnect new materials as required. The work is estimated to cost $400,000.00. General Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance in the following Category: HVAC, and must submit a current DCAM Certificate of Eligibility and a signed Update Statement. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive and Federal Davis Bacon wage determinations. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Springfield Housing Authority. Doc Notes: Plan Deposits must be electronically paid or must be a certified or cashier's check. This deposit will be refunded for up to two sets for general bidders upon return of the sets in good condition within thirty days of receipt of general bids. Otherwise the deposit shall be the property of the awarding authority. Question Deadline 02/05/2025 Any prospective bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, specifications, drawings, etc., must request it at least 7 days before the scheduled time for bid opening. Requests may be oral or written. Oral requests must be confirmed in writing
