Wellington Ridge Roof Replacement The Chester Housing Authority is planning to replace the roofs on twenty (20) units within the Wellington Ridge community. The existing roofing materials include asphalt shingles and plywood sheathing. The scope of this project includes the replacement of the entire existing asphalt roof and all sheathing on 20 units. The work includes all roofing materials located on main roofs, porch roofs and dormer roofs. The base bid work consists of but is not limited to removing and replacing roofing materials including all shingles, roof sheathing, ridge vents, and all flashing. The Base Bid work for this project also includes the replacement of the fascia and soffit and the replacement of the gutters and downspouts. This project is located in the Chester, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. This project consists of a single prime contract for all the work described herein which will be awarded to a single prime contractor based on the base bid awarded. 1. In general, the work included under the Base Bid portion of this project is located at the Wellington Ridge Community. The work on this project will include 20 units. Work includes all portions of the building including the main section, porch section and dormer sections. a. The work consists of complete removal and replacement of the asphalt shingle roofing system. Ridge vents shall be installed along entire length of all ridges. b. All sheathing shall be removed and replaced. c. Work includes the replacement of the fascia covering, fascia board and soffit. d.
