**As of April 29, 2025, the project was awarded to Blount Construction Company Inc with an awarded amount of $3,968,966.37.** The City of Milton is requesting bids from qualified parties to provide asphalt reconstruction and resurfacing services within the city limits of Milton, Georgia. All qualified bids will receive consideration without regard to age, handicap, religion, creed or belief, political affiliation, race, color, sex, or national origin. The time and terms of payment, along with the conditions, cost of plans and specifications can be found in the solicitation of bids posted on the websites below. A bid bond of 5% is required when submitting bid response. Questions must also be submitted online in the same manner listed above for bids. Deadline for questions is February 3, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Official answers to questions and potential changes to the ITB (Addendums) will be posted at the same web locations as the ITB on or about February 5, 2025. The selected contractor must be able to start work within ten (10) calendar days after the "Notice to Proceed" is issued. The time of completion for the project is to be determined prior to the issuance of the "Notice to Proceed." Tentative Contract Award (on/about) March 3, 2025. Each bid must be accompanied with a BID BOND (bond only: certified checks or other forms are not acceptable) in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid, payable to the City of Milton. Said bid bond guarantees the bidder will enter into a contract to construct the project strictly within the terms and conditions stated in this bid and in the bidding and contract documents, should the construction contract be awarded. The Successful Bidder shall be required to furnish PAYMENT AND PERFORMANCE BONDS for the faithful performance on the contract and a bond to secure payment of all claims for materials furnished and/or labor performed in performance of the project, both in amounts equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the base bid price. The Successful Bidder shall also be required to furnish a MAINTENANCE BOND, in the amount of one-third (1/3) of the contract price, guaranteeing the repair or replacement caused by defective workmanship or materials for a period of two (2) years from the completion of construction. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids. If the contract is awarded, it will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder whose bid meets the requirements and criteria set forth in the invitation for bids.
