Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to the City of Missoula , in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Construction Performance Bond and a Construction (Labor and Materials) Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. The right is reserved to reject any or all Proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days , and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the City of Missoula. This project consists of the following, but is not necessarily limited to: installing approximately 2610 linear feet of 8-inch and 119 linear feet of 6-inch water mains located underneath Milton Street from Defoe to Howell, on Howell Street from the railroad to Holmes, on Holmes Street from Howell to Phillips, on Phillips Street from the railroad to Worden and on Sherwood from Mitchell to Worden in Missoula, MT. The existing water services will be swapped and connected to the new mains. Associated appurtenances, fittings and restoration necessary to complete the project are detailed in the construction plans. This work includes the furnishing and installation of equipment, materials and related appurtenances in the following trades: piping, concrete, landscaping, paving and other related trades. The work will be done under a single contract. Final questions are due Friday January 31, 2025 by 12 pm, final addendum will be issued Friday January 31, 2025 at 5 pm.
