Site work for a water / sewer project in Altamont, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of March 5, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Bids are invited upon the several items and quantities of work as follows: Construction of approximately 10,282 lineal feet, of water main replacements with 6-inch PVC pipe, including all related appurtenances. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of City of Altamont, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. This project is funded in whole or in part with grant funds from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The City of Altamont reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Altamont for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
