MetroConnects is proposing the replacement and relocation of the existing gravity sewer lines and manholes in the Judson Mill Village area to correct the existing structural defects and to provide more efficient maintenance of their system. This project will replace/relocate the existing 6-inch and 8-inch sewers with approximately 3,222LF of new 8-inch sewer and 17 new manholes. There will be approximately 2,991 LF of 6-inch and 8-inch sewers and 16 manholes abandoned. Contract Time: Substantial Completion is 330 consecutive calendar days and Final Completion is 30 consecutive calendar days from Substantial Completion. The Contract will commence on the date stated in the Notice to Proceed. Bidder will provide, furnish, and install all equipment, labor and materials required to complete this project. The bid price shall be the final price, no requests for reimbursement of sales tax in the future will be honored. No questions may be directed to or contacts made with members of CHA Consulting or Metropolitan Sewer Subdistrict that are not explicitly identified in this IFB as points of contact during the period of time that this IFB is made public until the final selection is made, except as otherwise provided for herein. Violation of this prohibition may disqualify the bidder from further consideration. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The OWNER reserves the right to reject all bids or an individual bid, and to waive any informalities and technicalities in the bid. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or authorized postponement thereof. All Contractors are to provide a copy of Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount.
