Jason Piurkowski, director of construction for Nicholas’ Wisconsin office, will lead the project. Piurkowski also worked on the $20 million Meadowview Elementary School in Oconomowoc. The Ridge at Village Park is a new 10,100-square-foot freestanding pavilion with 14,500 square feet of covered outdoor space and an openair stage area. Built for the Village of Sussex Parks Department and the Sussex Lions Club, it will provide community rooms, a kitchen, public restrooms and storage. Construction is slated to begin in mid-July, after the three-day Sussex Lions Daze festival. The Sussex Parks Maintenance Facility is a new approximately 10,500-square-foot building that will serve as the Parks Department’s new headquarters. It will include break rooms, restrooms, a workshop and vehicle service and maintenance spaces. Construction will begin May 1.
