As of February 14, 2025, this project has been awarded. Construction will begin next week. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to general, civil, mechanical, and electrical work. The estimated base bid for the project is $400,000. Work required for delivery of portables is to be completed by March 31, 2025. All work is to be completed by August 15, 2025. All interested parties are invited to attend. Social distancing and other precautions mandated by authorities having jurisdiction will apply to the bid opening. Tabulated bid results will be made available to Bidders upon request. Bids received after the specified time may not be accepted. It is the sole responsibility of Bidders to deliver their bids to the designated place at the designated times and on the forms provided in the Project Manual. Oral, telephonic, faxed or telegraphic bids are invalid and will not receive consideration. Other subcontractors, and those needing additional sets or partial sets may purchase sets at cost (not refundable) from ARC. Costs of delivery or shipping for both full sets and partial sets are additional and are to be paid directly to ARC and are not refundable. Bid Security must accompany each bid in t he form of a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check in the amount of 5% of the total base bid, made payable to "Morton School District No. 214". No bidder may withdraw their proposal after the time set for bid opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless award is delayed for a period exceeding 45 calendar days. The Board of Directors of Morton School District No. 214 reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding. Work required for delivery of portables is to be completed by March 31, 2025. All work is to be completed by August 15, 2025 This project includes various trades. Coordinating of construction activities by the Contractor will be required to ensure that the project will not affect the operation of Owner's personnel throughout the entire construction process. Site access is limited and adjacent areas will remain occupied during construction. 1. Each trade is governed by General and Supplemental Conditions of the Contract and all provisions of Division 01, General Requirements, whether or not specifically referenced for its particular work. B. The scope of work for this project is to renovate the Educational Service Center (ESC) to accommodate an early learning program once the existing tenant, Wilkeson, has moved out of the building. The renovation will modify the south wing in the main building to house the early learning program and will also include the following: 1. Installation of Sinks in All Classrooms 2. Additional Drinking Fountains/Bubblers Where Needed 3. Add Bathrooms in The Science Building 4. Add Bathrooms in Library Wing 5. Add Bathrooms in Classrooms Next to Reception 6. Provide General Cleaning and Painting 7. Consolidation of The Two Existing Access Control Systems 8. Perimeter Fencing Along the Back Edge of The Campus 9. Installation of Cabinets/Cubbies/And Flooring Where Necessary C. Contractor's Work & Responsibilities - General 1. Contractor is required to coordinate all related requirements and work specified throughout the Project Manual. 2. Unless otherwise indicated, Contractor's work and responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, the following: a. Providing and paying for labor, materials, equipment, tools, machines, facilities, and services necessary for proper execution and completion of work. b. Paying required taxes. c. Securing and paying for, as necessary for proper execution and completion of work (as applicable at time of receipt of Bid): 1) Permits. 2) Fees. 3) Licenses. 4) Inspections, unless otherwise noted. 5) Connection and tap charges. d. Giving required notices. e. Enforcing strict discipline and good order among employees and subcontractors.
