The City of Pewaukee Parks and Recreation Department is accepting proposals for the ball diamond backstop fence replacement at Balmer Park (N44W23875 Lindsay Rd). Work to be completed prior to April 14, 2025. 1. Replace Backstop • Furnish and install 90’ of galvanized chain link fence. Fence to be 30’ high overall and located 20’ behind home plate: o Dimensions to be 20’ behind home plate x 30’ high with one 35’ wide by 30’ high wing towards each foul line. o 2” mesh #6-gauge galvanized steel for bottom 12’ height of 20’ width behind home plate and 2” mesh #9-gauge galvanized steel for top 18’. o Posts for the backstop should be 4” diameter. o Horizontal rails (1 5/8”) to be at base, 6’, 12’, 18’, 24’, 30’. ? Additional horizontal rail at ~3’ height on backstop behind home plate only (20’). o All posts will be set in 12”x60” deep concrete footings for frost protection and spaced 10’ on center maximum. • Excavated spoils will be hauled away. 2. Replace Infield Fence & Dugout • Furnish and install 192’ of galvanized Chain Link Fence, including top and bottom rail @ 1 5/8”. Fence to be 8’ high overall. o 2 of 8’ high x 70’ long (140’ total), one towards each foul line. o 2 of 8’ high x 20’ long (40’ total) on each foul line to create dugout (see drawing). o 2 of 8’ high x 6’ long (12’ total) on each foul line to enclose 3 rd side of dugout (see drawing). o 2 ½-3” line posts, spaced a maximum 10’ on center. • Posts to be driven down a minimum of 4’. • Excavated spoils will be hauled away. 3. Facility Information • This facility is a high use baseball diamond. Infield material is not to be disturbed by fence installation. Alternate Bids – Please provide these alternative bid prices: • (2A) Fence to be 6’ high overall. • Existing fence to be taken down by vendor.
