Housing Authority of the City of Bloomington is inviting sealed bid proposals from interested and qualified parties for Irvin Apartments Window Replacement, located at 823 W Oakland & 810 W Jackson, Bloomington, Illinois 61704. This project consists of construction of replace all windows throughout both buildings of the existing facility. This project consists of construction of replace all windows throughout both buildings of the existing facility. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid amount. No bids may be with-drawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. A separate ftp site will be made available to the successful bidder for the duration of construction. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the work. A performance bond, separate labor and material payment bond, and insurance in a form acceptable to owner will be required of the successful bidder. The owner requires all contractors and vendors doing business with the owner not to discriminate against anyone on the basis of race, age, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ancestry, non job-related handicaps or national origin. Housing authority of the city of bloomington reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, and to waive any and all informalities in the bidding. After receipt of bids and completion of the review process, housing authority of the city of bloomington may award a contract to the bidder that, in its opinion, will provide a combination of the best services and reasonable cost. The contract is subject to the federal davis-bacon act, as amended to date. The contractor shall pay its workers not less than the prevailing rates so determined and comply with the act's requirements, including but not limited to the keeping of accurate records showing the names and occupation of all laborers, workers and mechanics employed on this contract. The records shall show the actual hourly wages paid to each such person.
