The City of Bloomington (Collectively The City) is soliciting bids from vendors to take delivery of the construction and demolition material for disposal. The City of Bloomington, incorporated in 1856, is a home rule unit of government under the 1970 Illinois Constitution. The City of Bloomington is located in the heart of Central Illinois, approximately 125 miles southwest of Chicago, 155 miles northeast of St. Louis and 64 miles northeast of Springfield, the State Capital. The City of Bloomington is the County Seat of McLean County, the largest county in Illinois (approximately 762,240 acres). The results of the 2010 Census shows the City now has a population of 76,610 citizens. The economic strength of the City of Bloomington metropolitan area is well diversified with no single dominating industry. Questions Due to City:February 12, 2025, 3:00pm Anticipated Award Date:March 24, 2025 The City of Bloomington reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities. Bid must be accompanied by a Bid guaranty which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid. Bid guaranty may be a cashier's check, money order, certified bank check, or a surety bond. All guaranties, except surety bonds, will be deposited and reimbursement checks and surety bonds will be issued to unsuccessful bidders following the bid award. The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount equal to 100% of the contract price, within ten (10) business days after the bid award.
