Title: County BMP Maintenance Support To provide support on various county easements and stormwater BMP's. The County is seeking companies with specialized equipment that can maintain limited access or difficult channels and embankments with a response time of 72 hours from first notification. The maintenance mowing season will run from 1 May-1 November with the clause that should any citizen complaint arise then the frequency could be subject to change. The County reserves the right to add or subtract work that impacts stormwater conveyances based on citizen complaints. "On-Call" debris removal will be paid on a man-hour and mileage basis. Companies could be subject to an "on-call" status for other items not specifically listed in this contract. "On-Call" work should be completed with the same response time. Please see the following maintenance schedule and attached appendix for the breakdown of each location. The face of the envelope or shipping container shall be clearly marked in the lower left hand corner as follows: RFP#: 118101-25-01 RFP FOR: County BMP Maintenance Support Review Proposals: February 28, 2025 Board of Supervisor Approval: March 26, 2025 Notice of Intent to Award: March 28, 2025 Contract Signing: April 11, 2025 Notice to Proceed: May 1, 2025 It is anticipated that interviews will be conducted the week of February 17, 2025. Should any potential offerors have questions, they may contact Lacy Stajduhar, VCA, Purchasing Assistant at (540) 245-5742., for clarification of this Request for Proposal. All questions must be submitted. In the event specific information not contained in this Request for Proposal is provided to any offeror, the same specific information will be provided in an Addendum which will be posted electronically. The successful Offeror shall provide property maintenance for a term of one (1) year. The right is reserved by the County of Augusta to renew this contract for four (4) additional one (1) year terms on the anniversary date. If agreement is reached to extend this contract for additional terms, the successful Offeror may not increase prices but may offer pricing decreases with the same terms and conditions upon mutual consent of the Offeror and the County of Augusta. In addition, the billable work should be broken down by man-hours and mileage in the event of an "on-call" situation and a price per visit for an item that is specifically listed in this contract. The County of Augusta reserves the right to cancel this contract immediately for cause upon written notice. Notwithstanding these provisions, it is further agreed that this contract shall be construed to run from year to year, and in the event that the aforesaid notice has not been given by either party, this contract shall automatically renew itself at the first anniversary date and at subsequent anniversary dates. The County may make such reasonable investigations as deemed proper and necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to perform the services/furnish the goods and the bidder shall furnish to the County all such information and data for this purpose as may be requested. The County reserves the right to inspect bidder's physical facilities prior to award to satisfy questions regarding the bidder's capabilities. The County further reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigations of, such bidder fails to satisfy the County that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and to provide the services and/or furnish the goods contemplated therein.
