Kewaunee County Highway Department is requesting proposals from qualified firms for A/E services from schematic design through construction administration for the design of a new tempered storage building and renovations to existing Highway Department Facilities at various locations in Kewaunee County. The project schematic design is scheduled to begin in February 2025 if approved by the Shop Selection committee with the deliverables listed by the AIA for schematic design to include, but not limited to; site plan, floor plan, sections, renderings, computer images or models, elevation and a construction cost in Spring of 2025, to provide a deliverable and estimate to the county board of supervisors for approval for construction in the Summer of 2025. The remainder of the A/E services will continue through 2026 as per the schedule established by Kewaunee County and the selected Architectural firm. Scope of Work The scope of work includes the design for the renovation of 7 facilities at approximately 21,000 SF, 2 new additions to existing facilities, and 2 new facilities. New work includes the additions of a wash bay 1500 SF and welding shop with overhead crane approximately 18,000 SF. New construction of a 20,000 SF tempered storage facility and 1500 SF salt shed. Services include but are not limited to deliverables identified in Article 3- Scope of Architects Basic Services in the AIA B101-2017 Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Architect Contract to include Schematic Design, Design Deliverables, Construction Documents and Construction Administration Phase of the project. Proposals received after 10:00 AM will not be accepted. Actual receipt by said time is required and deposit in the U.S. mail is insufficient. The envelope containing the sealed Bid shall bear the name and address of the interested firm and the notation "Design Services for Kewaunee County Highway Shop" on the outside of the envelope.
