Site work for a civil project in San Bruno, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work includes, but is not limited to: Rehabilitating approximately 3,257 feet of existing 14" steel main with new flexible fabric reinforced pipe liner, welding new steel pipe to existing for installation of liner connectors and pipeline appurtenances, conducting CCTV inspection and cleaning of existing main prior to installation of liner; excavation, shoring, and backfill of liner installation pits; installing one (1) combination air vacuum/release valve, providing auxiliary bypass pump and piping; site cleaning, restoration, and removal of debris, equipment, and excess material from the sites upon completion of work; and other work as shown on Drawings. All work items shall be constructed in accordance with the contract plans and specifications. Bidding Documents contain the full description of the Work. All work under this contract shall be completed within 80 Working Days from the Notice to Proceed effective date. The City shall assess liquidated damages in the amount of $500 per Working Day for delays in completion of the project, as provided in the Contract Documents. A California Class "A" contractor's license is required to bid on this contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. The City will reject all bids received after the specified time and will return such bids to the bidders unopened. Bidders must submit bids in accordance with this Document. Bidder's failure to submit all required documents strictly as required entitles the City to reject the bid as non-responsive. Bidder shall provide written responses to any questions or requests for information made by the City as part of the bid evaluation process after submission of the bid. BID SECURITY: Cash, cashier's check or certified check, payable to the order of the City of San Bruno, of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, or a bond in said amount payable to the City of San Bruno and signed by the Bidder and a corporate surety shall accompany the bid. The City specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects or minor irregularities in the bids not involving time, price or quality of the work. AWARD If the contract is to be awarded, it will be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder. Such Award, if made, will be made within ninety (90) days after the opening of the Bid Proposals. Following completion of all required City procedures and receipt of all City approvals, the City will issue Document 00 51 00 (Notice of Award) to the successful bidder.
