Site work for a water / sewer project in San Bruno, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project consists of structurally retrofitting a 1.88 MG (100 ft diameter, 32 ft tall) domestic, welded steel, potable water tank including installation of a supplemental ring wall foundation, micropiles, tank anchorage, roof/column/shell strengthening, additional roof vents, complete interior relining, exterior recoating of only newly installed work, among other appurtenance work as identified in the bid schedule. Work Location: The project is located at the northwest corner of the Skyline Blvd / Sharp Park Rd intersection in the City of Pacifica, County of San Mateo, California. The work will be done for the Westborough Water District (i.e., referred to herein as the "Owner" or as the "District") Cost Estimate: The District's estimated total construction cost for this project is $2,500,000. The estimate is intended to serve merely as a guideline of the magnitude of work. Neither the bidders nor the contractor shall be entitled to claims because of any inaccuracy in the estimate. Contract Time & Liquidated Damages: The project is to be completed within a total maximum of One Hundred and Eighty (180) working days from the Notice to Proceed date. The District will assess liquidated damages in the amount of $2,400 for every calendar day of delay in finishing the work in excess of the contract time. Contractor License(s)/Qualifications: The BIDDER must possess a valid Class A Contractor's license in the State of California at the time of CONTRACT award and throughout the CONTRACT term. The Contractor must have performed work on three (3) welded steel potable water tank structural retrofits of similar scope over the last five (5) years. In addition, the project foreman must verify they oversaw at least five (5) previous projects, three (3) of which are exclusively welded steel potable water tank structural retrofits of similar scope. Similar qualifications also pertain to the coating and micropile contractors for their specific work. The successful BIDDER will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, both in amounts not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Bid date notes: PROPOSALS will not be accepted if they are delivered by fax, telephone or other electronic means.
