The Project generally consists of constructing full and private side only replacement of approximately 260 lead service lines on 4th, 5th, Madison, Manistique, Marion, Marquette, Marshall Menomonee, Milwaukee, Minnesota, Monroe and Montana Avenues, Lake Shore Boulevard, and other streets located within the City of South Milwaukee. This solicitation will also be used to by the City of South Milwaukee to establish a Prequalified List of Contractors for Private Lead Service Line Replacements. PRE-BID QUALIFICATION: All bidders must complete the City of South Milwaukee's Prequalification for Lead Service Line Replacements and submit as instructed in the PREQUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS/CONTRACTORS by 5:00 pm, Local Time, February 6, 2025, to be considered for award of the contract for this Project or to be considered for placement on the Prequalified List of Contractors for Private Lead Service Replacements. Bid Security in the amount of not less than 5% of the Bid shall accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in an amount equal to the Contract Price. No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the scheduled opening of the bids without the consent of Owner The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, waive informalities in bidding, or to accept the Bid or Bids, which best serves the interests of the Owner.
