Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Estevan, Saskatchewan. Completed plans call for site work for a 2,943-square-foot swimming pool; and for the construction of a 1,090-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

The proposed project consists of the construction of a new paddling pool and shower building. Based on diagrams provided by the client the paddling pool and shower building will have footprints of approximately 273.4 m2 and 101.3 m2. It is expected that conventional footings with a floor slab on grade will be utilised for both structures. At its deepest, the paddling pool will be approximately 1.0 m. The service trenches will be located between the north side of the pool and the mechanical room. The locations of the boreholes were selected by ParklandGEO. The project site was located at the existing Kinsmen Hillside Playpark at 825 George Street in Estevan, Saskatchewan as shown on the Key Plan, Figure 1. The site was accessed from Victoria Avenue to the west. The proposed pool site will be southeast of the existing paddling pool and directly east of the outdoor hockey rink. The site was surrounded by residential properties. The current site layout is shown on Site Plan, Figure 3. Site conditions are shown on the Area Plan, Figure 2 and Site photographs. This is a typical design build with an anticipated budget maximum of $400,000 exclusive of taxes.
