The work under this contract shall consist of excavation common, base aggregate dense, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, concrete pavement, streetscape, electrical, and all incidentals necessary to complete the work as shown in the plans and included in this contract. The contractor shall perform everything required to be performed and shall provide and furnish all the labor, materials, equipment, necessary tools, expendable equipment, insurance provided by the specifications, contributionsto social security and all utility and transportation servicesrequired to perform and complete in a workmanlike manner the following work: 2025 DOWNTOWN MALL REDEVLOPMENT - PHASE 2 all in accordance with the specifications and drawings and in strict compliance with the contractor's proposal and other contract documents, herein mentioned as component parts of this contract. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Board of Public Works. Pre-qualification documents shall be submitted to the Engineering Department no later than 2:00 p.m. on February 10, 2024, and show sufficient financial ability, equipment, and experience to properly perform the contract in accordance with Section 66.0901, Wisconsin Statutes. The Board's decision as to qualifications shall be final. The pre-qualification form is available online . The City of Wausau reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to award a contract in the best interest of the City of Wausau. A Performance Bond and also a Labor and Materials Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the total bid price, together with an executed contract in form prescribed by the City of Wausau will be required of the successful bidder. The letting of the work described herein is subject to provisions of Chapter 62 and 66 of Wisconsin Statutes and by all pertinent sections of the Wausau Municipal Code.
