The Lewis Road MHRC will operate in a two-story building on Lewis Road in Camarillo, California, that is being redeveloped for this intended purpose. The facility and grounds are being designed and built to provide a secure, but nonetheless comfortable and safe environment that promotes wellness and recovery. The Lewis Road MHRC is intent upon helping people recognize and consider options for themselves with a clarity that come from psychiatric stability. VCBH has chosen to seek a contractor capable of operating and managing a thirty-nine (39) bed locked MHRC facility for residents who: (1) are 18 years and older, (2) suffer moderate to severe mental impairment or lack the ability to function independently, and (3) require a locked setting. The residents referred to this facility will be on Lanterman-Petris-Short Act (WIC 5350) conserved statusand be SSI/SSDI eligible. The selected bidder will be required to obtain the appropriate licensing and certification to operate the facility in a timely manner.
