This project consists of an addition to the Charles O. Zollar Building at Southwestern Michigan College with the intent of providing facilities for the sport of Wrestling. The program includes spaces for a new Wrestling Room, Offices, Locker Rooms, Restrooms for both Men and Women, and exercise facilities. Construction of a 12,034 s.f. addition (pre-engineered metal building) to the Zollar Building will include site work, demolition, concrete foundations, masonry and metal stud wall framing, acoustic ceiling systems, tile, rubber, and epoxy flooring, painting, doors, cabinetry, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and fire suppression systems. Alternate No. 1: Provide price to add manual bleachers to the Wrestling Room for seating during competition. bleachers - 9'-10.11" x 16'-4.85" single sided, WatchFire - 3.9mm LED virtual scoreboards Watchfire Display. Alternate No. 3: Provide price to add (2) monitors, (1) at new Corridor outside the Restrooms and (1) in existing Corridor leading to the Restrooms - 2x Samsung DU7200 Series 70" 4K HDR Smart LED TV Alternate No. 4: Provide price to add (2) cameras centered above the bleachers; (1) Highdefinition camera above bleachers - Marshall CV506 HDMI Camera; and (1) future accommodation for a HUDL camera for live streaming above bleachers - 1 HUDL Focus Camera. Alternate No. 5: Provide price to add Monitor to each Locker Room 2x Samsung DU7200 Series 70" 4K HDR Smart LED TV. Alternate No. 6: Provide price to add Perlite insulation to cores of all interior concrete masonry walls separating offices, exercise room, corridors and locker rooms. Unit price for engineered fill; provide cost per cubic yard A five percent (5%) Bid Bond shall accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond, Labor and Material Bonds, and certificates of Liability and Worker's Compensation Insurance. Each bid shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Southwestern Michigan College Board of Trustees or the president of the college. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of Thirty (30) calendar days after the date set for bid opening. The awarded contractor will be required to pay not less than the published Michigan prevailing wage rates and provide certified payroll reports for this project. Current wage determinations are provided in the Project Manual. Southwestern Michigan College reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any defects or irregularities in bids, and to accept any bid that is Deemed most advantageous to the public interest. Work is expected to begin no later than March 1, 2025, and be 100% complete by January 31, 2026.
